Mercy In Action College of Midwifery begins each school year with an orientation week in Boise, Idaho, wherein the degree specifics, curriculum & schedule, and general expectations are explained, along with an introduction to the assignments and our College's values. Each semester after that will be split between distance academic work through our online classroom, and clinical placement with a community midwife in the location of the student’s own choosing. Once per year, students will return to the Boise, Idaho campus for a short intensive which will involve hands-on training.
Students join cohorts which they follow through graduation, attending all campus sessions together and participating in online discussion boards. Successful completion of each semester is the requirement for going on to the next semester. After graduation, alumni will receive assistance to pursue networking with local midwives or optional international placements, should they desire.
